Angie HofmannAngie Hofmann works to identify, coordinate, and supervise novel opportunities for research support in the engineering, environmental, chemical/physical and related disciplines and in areas of interest to the Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society and to GrantGPS. Prior to joining GrantGPS and the Irving Institute, Angie was Senior Associate Director and Interim Director for Corporate and Foundation Relations at Dartmouth, where she was responsible for fundraising from national and international corporations and foundations. Before joining Dartmouth in 2021, Angie was Strategic Projects Advisor to Yale University’s Vice Provost for Research and Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for Science and International Initiatives in Yale’s Office of Development. She holds a Ph.D. in Mol. Biology and Biochemistry from the UC, Irvine and was a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin, Germany. She is the founder of SciWri Services, a venture providing training and consulting services on scientific communication worldwide, and the author of two books that are standards in the field: Scientific Writing and Communication – Papers, Proposals, and Presentation and Writing in the Biological Sciences (Oxford University Press.)
