Melisa Baran

Bio
Melisa Baran ’25, from Istanbul, Turkey, is the Program Assistant for the Dartmouth–AUK
Program. She joined the program following her graduation from Dartmouth with a double
major in Economics and Government. During her time at Dartmouth, Melisa studied abroad
in Berlin and London and served as a Drill Instructor for both French and German.
Having traveled to 37 countries and speaking seven languages, Melisa brings a deep
appreciation for intercultural learning and development to her work with the Program.
She engaged extensively with global and legal issues as a War and Peace Fellow with
the Dickey Center and as a Law and Ethics Fellow.
Throughout her undergraduate career, Melisa gained professional experiences through
a congressional internship in the U.S. House of Representatives and through her work
in the foreign policy department at the American Enterprise Institute. These experiences
have strengthened her commitment to pursuing law school and a career in international
law.
