This page contains information about transfer eligibility, the application, standardized testing, and deadlines.
Dartmouth classifies you as a transfer applicant if you will have spent at least one year at another college or university prior to your matriculation at Dartmouth. Admitted transfer applicants enroll at Dartmouth for a minimum of six academic terms-as either sophomores or juniors, depending on prior course work, in order to complete the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree.
When applying for Transfer admission to Dartmouth, applicants must choose to apply for fall admission (not spring). Admitted students may be given the option of enrolling during the Summer Term
Please note that offers of transfer admission cannot be deferred to the following year. If you already have completed an undergraduate degree, you are ineligible for transfer admission.
Dartmouth uses the Common Application for Transfer Admission along with our own supplement. The transfer application and supplemental form are available only on the Common Application web site. The transfer application fee is $80.00US.
