Application Fee Information

A non-refundable application fee or approved fee-waiver is required of all applicants as noted:

  • First-year Applicants - $70.00
  • Transfer Applicants - $75.00

CREDIT CARD

Applicants to Dartmouth may pay their application fee online using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express) or electronic check through an arrangement with the Common Application's approved payment service.

Please note:  You must submit either Dartmouth's Main Supplement or the Common Application prior to submitting your fee.

First-Year Applicants

CHECK OR MONEY ORDER

A check or money order in U.S. currency and payable to Dartmouth College can be sent to the Admissions Office at the following address:

FEE WAIVER

If payment of the application fee would cause unusual financial hardship for you or your family, you may be eligible for a waiver of the application fee.  To request a waiver of the fee, send a letter of explanation and one of the following supporting documents: a copy of your parents' 2006 federal income tax return, or a College Board Request for Waiver of the Application Fee signed by your counselor, to:

If you reside outside the U.S. and Canada and you are not a U.S. citizen, you must provide a copy of the Foreign Student Financial Aid Application with your letter.  This form is available from the College Board or the Admissions Office.
