Volunteer Your Time

Dismas volunteer

When you pledge a gift to the Granite United Way, your dollars directly support more than 35 local organizations that help your neighbors winterize their homes, eat a hot meal, file their taxes, overcome addictions, and more.

The organizations that empower our community—places like COVER Home Repair, Upper Valley Haven, and WISE—also need people like you to power their cause through volunteer work. Learn about the volunteer experiences of fellow Dartmouth community members who have chosen to give back to the local community by contributing their time and talents.

Dartmouth's Volunteer Time-Off Policy

Did you know that Dartmouth offers paid time-off to volunteer?
Dartmouth encourages all eligible employees to use this time to make a positive difference in their community and throughout the Upper Valley by supporting eligible non-profit organizations. If you haven’t taken advantage of this benefit yet, learn more on the human resources website.

The Call to Serve

When it comes to giving back, the Dartmouth community’s partnership with the United Way is just the beginning. In honor of the College’s 250th anniversary, the community is uniting for The Call to Serve, a yearlong initiative to inspire acts of service around the world and achieve 250,000 hours of service in 2019. College employees are encouraged to use the volunteer paid time off benefit to contribute to the Call to Serve initiative.
