Additional Data

Further data visualizations about Dartmouth and peer institutions related to goals and priorities of the College.

Carnegie Classification (2015)

The Carnegie Classification is a framework used to describe U.S. Higher education institutions. The Classifications include Title IV eligible, degree-granting colleges and universities in the United States represented in the National Center for Education Statistics IPEDS system. In particular, the Basic Classification utilizes a methodology examining the Level of Research Activity. In early 2016, the Office of Institutional Research analyzed the variables included in this methodology and ran scenarios to examine possible paths back into the highest research activity classification in 2020.

AAUP Faculty Compensation
