"There was this big dichotomy there between those of us who were veterans and came back and the new class and it was a very interesting difference. They seemed very young to us and very inexperienced and a lot of our class or many of them had married and come back here….There was this huge difference between the freshman class and the returnees who were maybe three or four years older and had maybe had a lot of experience that you didn't get when you were in high school."
