Listen to the interview:

Ted: "The GI Bill would pay you 90 bucks a month to live on.  Well, you couldn’t do it, so we all had to get jobs…. We decided … a guy named Kenny Fulton.  He and I started this thing. I would go down to White River …  I had a car and I'd buy the ham, cheese, mayonnaise, whatever you needed to make the sandwiches and I would take it up to Kenny Fulton and he and his lovely wife would make the sandwiches and I would sell them and deliver them at night … We only did about four or five dorms but it was all we could handle … and those poor hungry kids would come plowing down from the fourth floor … and would give me 15 or 20 cents for a peanut butter but then the egg salad would cost more … I'd make 100 bucks a week."
