Holdings Standards Implementation Group

The Holdings Standards Implementation Group is charged with implementing the first recommendation of the Holdings Standards Working Group. The recommendation states that records for new and currently received multiparts, new scores with parts, and new mixed format materials should include holdings data in holdings records. This also includes any serials in workflows where holdings records are not currently applied (i.e. serials recon). Currently all new serials are set up with holdings records in Millennium as they are processed in Acquisitions Services. The objective of this group is to normalize our current holdings workflow to include as many new types of materials as possible. The recommendation also states that this work should be implemented as soon as possible. The group reports to Acquisitions Services and Cataloging & Metadata Services Joint Management Team.
