This film provides the background and history of Winter Carnival, and depicts the transition from regular academic life to Carnival festivities and back again. Footage includes the building of ice sculptures, the choosing of a queen, and a variety of winter sports competitions, emphasizing ski jumping, slalom racing, sledding, and figure skating. Scenes of exams, snow sculpture building, and people taking photos in front of the sculptures are also included.
