WebPac Implementation Team : Help Subgroup

Help Documentation Subgroup (Bill Fontaine, Chair)

Charge (10/12/00)

  1. Survey a sample of webpacs at other institutions to identify features of their help documentation that should be incorporated into the Dartmouth WebPac.
  2. Assess the need and scope of general WebPac help that would be available through a HELP button that travels through all WebPac screens.
  3. Review the existing contextual help information on all Dartmouth WebPac pages and make appropriate changes.
  4. Explore avenues for providing additional contextual help throughout the WebPac.
  5. Write help documentation as appropriate.
  6. The subgroup will submit its recommendations to the WebPac Implementation Team by December 15, 2000. The writing of HELP pages will extend past Dec 15. The HELP pages will be added to the WebPac as the subgroup does them, which will aid the subgroup in getting feedback to eliminate ambiguities and assess the relevance of the HELP before the WebPac undergoes formal usability testing.
