WebPac Implementation Team : Design Subgroup

Charge

  1. The Design Subgroup should arrive at a recommended graphic design for the webpac screens. The group will need to determine which parts of the screens are stylistically configurable (See Jennifer Merrill for WWWoptions). Consistency across all screens is important. The following have been identified as needing style decisions (more may be uncovered):
    • The header/banner across the top
    • The footer across the bottom
    • Fonts
    • Colors (background, fonts, links etc.)
    • Menu buttons
    • Mouseovers (desirable? and how best to use?)
    • Name/logo (desirable? how to pick?)
    • Frames (desirable? how?)
  2. Exploring other webopacs will help in seeing what is a "good" versus "bad" design.
  3. Testing on multibrowsers (IE&Netscape) and multiplatforms (Mac&Windows) is necessary to insure a good design for all users.
  4. Complete work by Nov 1st with a written recommendation to the WebPAC Team.
