Agenda

Color of Limit/Sort Search Button

Discussion - many felt that the blue color contributed little to making users aware of the Limit/Sort features. Decision: change the button back to its normal color.

Help Button on the Green Menu Bar

Discussion. Current arrangement requires too many clicks to get to Help text and takes the user too far from the search session. The group decided to link to the Table of Contents page of the Library Help in a new smaller window.

Library Location links from WebPac displays - criteria for web pages

Discussion centered around a prototype for the Kresge location links, which included (1) campus map showing Kresge location, (2) photograph of the building exterior,  (3) floor plan, and (4) link to the Kresge homepage.  Other desiderata suggested hours and information on restrictions on special formats (CDs, videos, etc.) Problems with providing this level of information was discussed. No decisions were made on this agenda item, which will be carried over to the next meeting.

As the meeting was about to adjourn, R Sonnenburg suggested that the Catalog scope note be added to the WebPac main screen. The group agreed to the change.

Meeting adjourned.
