Cyndy and John opened the meeting, welcoming the members and stressing the importance of the committee’s work.
The primary focus of this meeting was a review of the charge. Five main apects of the charge, functionality, design, instructional aspects, implementation, and maintenance were reviewed.
Bill and Mark introduced the committee website (https://www.dartmouth.edu/~catmet/committees/WebPacIT/Pacit.html) and encouraged members to use and contribute to it.
The group spent some time comparing our current WebPac setup with WebPacs at Colorado State University and the University of Washington to highlight some differences and to begin to think about possibilities.
Members were asked to spend time evaluating other Innovative WebPacs and begin to collect ideas (a wish list) to apply to our system. Additionally, desirable features not currently available should be considered and collected for future enhancement requests to Innovative.
Copies of the Innovative User’s Manual are available to download onto committee member’s computers if desired. The chapter on Web Server Options includes much of the information we need to make changes to the system.
