Sayles Faculty Research Grants

The Sayles fund for faculty research exists to support projects that explore ethical issues across the disciplines. Examples of past projects include book chapters, articles, case studies, curriculum development and books. The grants support full-time faculty with research up to $3,500, and awards are limited to every two years.

Application consists of the following:

  • A few paragraphs describing the research project, which includes an explicit articulation of the ethics component, and how this project will support your teaching at Dartmouth.

  • A budget that explains how the funds will be used. Items covered include travel, photocopying, fees for translators, books, journals; items generally NOT covered include computers, cameras, tape recorders, iPods, retroactive funding.
