Self-study Report

Approximately every ten years, Dartmouth participates in a voluntary accreditation by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). An evaluation team, composed of faculty and administrators from peer institutions, visited the campus November 14-17, 2010. The team evaluated the quality of Dartmouth’s undergraduate and graduate academic programs and our ability to effectively fulfill our mission.

A critical first step in the reaccreditation process was the completion of an institutional self-study. Over a period of eighteen months, a Steering Committee led by the Provost worked closely with hundreds of faculty and staff to conduct a thorough review of Dartmouth’s areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement in 11 broad standards (such as faculty, student services, and academic programs) identified by NEASC.

The final self-study report is available here.
