Metadata Services

Metadata Services creates and manages metadata to describe materials in the Dartmouth Library collection, in support of Library Strategic Objectives and Priorities.

Metadata Services is responsible for organizing, describing, and cataloging the Dartmouth Library collection. It is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Dartmouth Library Catalog, the integration of the Library Cataloging into discovery and services, and for the development and implementation of policies and standards that govern the creation and maintenance of the metadata that describe the collection.

Metadata Services is part of Library Technical Services, and reports to the Associate Librarian for Access and Collection Strategies.
