About Us

The office of Institutional Diversity & Equity is focused on supporting, assisting, and enhancing Dartmouth's commitment to learning and pluralism. Our planning and programs help to maintain and build an environment that accepts and welcomes difference. While race and sex figure prominently into our office's understanding of diversity, we are also interested in examining and fostering dialog on other aspects of individual and social identity (e.g., age, class, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, language, marital status, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, and veteran's status).

We provide services and identify additional resources that allow for learning and discussion of these themes. We create and coordinate a wide range of opportunities for all administrators, faculty, students, staff, and guests to obtain a greater appreciation and capacity to understand our complex community, the institution, and the people who work and learn on our campus.

Associate Director/ Employment Accommodation Coordinator

Kelly Cusick

  • Holds primary responsibility for managing the disability accommodation process for employees and applicants for employment.
  • Serves as a resource regarding disability-related accommodations for visitors and guests.
  • Provides training and works collaboratively with relevant campus partners to ensure access to Dartmouth College programs and services.

ADA/504 Coordinator

Cathy Trueba

  • Serves as the institutional ADA/504 compliance officer ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other federal and state laws and regulations protecting individuals with disabilities.
  • Develops institutional policies and procedures regarding equal access to Dartmouth programs and activities.
  • Conducts the disability-based grievance process pertaining to discrimination in the delivery or denial of accommodations for students, employees, visitors and guests of Dartmouth College.
  • Provides campus-wide disability compliance and awareness training and provides effective leadership to promote cross-divisional collaboration and consistency in achieving an accessible campus community.

Robyn Harris

  • Maintains Vice President's calendar as well as supports faculty recruitment search process.
  • Assists in event coordination and financial transactions for Employee Resource Network groups.

Program Manager 
Kara Wakefield

  • Coordinates diversity-related trainings, programming and events for faculty and staff
  • Oversees Employee Resource Networks
  • Co-chairs the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration and Social Justice Awards Committees
