Envisioning the World We Want

At a moment in which great divisions threaten our world, how can we challenge ourselves to step bravely into the future? The Dartmouth Centers Forum invites you to create programming in 2020 that inspires, sparks cross-campus dialogue, and embodies the words of Alan Kay: “The best way to predict the future is to invent it.”

In the winter term of 2019 the DCF issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to create programming around the theme "Envisioning the World We Want." The hope was that it would result in panels, workshops, discussions, and performances that worked to draw students, staff, and faculty into discussions on how to bravely invent our shared future together. The process was a resounding success. For the proposals that were funded in the spring term 2019, click here. The events were so successful that the DCF has decided to issue another RFP for events that would take place during the winter and spring terms of 2020. Please click here for the announcement and here for full information on the RFP process and here for the application. There are two deadlines: December 1, 2019 for winter and/or spring 2020 projects and February 16, 2020 for spring 2020 projects.
