Designing usable information, products, and spaces requires a holistic process focused on the population who will ultimately use what has been designed. Although usability can be improved by ensuring that the user is an integral part of the design process from beginning to end, how do designers know when they have achieved their goal of creating something usable? This presentation will focus on strategies and techniques that can be used to identify, develop, and assess usability performance criteria to ensure that the products of design actually satisfy their ultimate usability goals.
