Now Hiring: Multilingual Specialist

Full time multilingual specialist to work with Dartmouth graduate students and programs in support of multilingual students' writing and presentation abilities and to teach in the Dartmouth undergraduate writing program.

Specific responsibilities: work closely with the Graduate Programs office and the Institute for Writing and Rhetoric to determine graduate student needs, deliver support, and assess progress for graduate student multilingual services. Work with graduate faculty on multilingual questions. Help train undergraduate tutors to support undergraduate multilingual writers; teach undergraduate writing courses; work with undergraduate writing center on multilingual initiatives.

Minimum qualifications: MA in Linguistics, Composition/Writing Studies, TESOL, or similar; strong experience in multilingual tutoring, teaching, and programming. Preferred qualifications: PhD in above areas and broad teaching experience including experience teaching first-year composition. The candidate will have a solid background in current multilingual writing theory and pedagogy, will be comfortable working independently and in teams, and will have demonstrated interest in multilingual writing research. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
