Colleen Lannon, Ph.D.

 
 

Professor Lannon teaches Writing 2-3. She holds a B.A. in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Victorian literature from Boston College. Her dissertation, "Gambling and/on the Exchange: The Victorian Novel and the Legitimization of the Stock Market," explored the intertwined discourses of gambling and stock market speculation in nineteenth-century England. Her teaching and research interests include the modernist novel, Victorian literature and culture, the development of the novel, literature and economics, and British financial history.
