Jeffrey Garrett Awarded Nijhoff Study Grant

The WESS Nijhoff Award Committee is very pleased to announce that the winner of this year's Martinus Nijhoff International West European Specialist Study Grant is Jeffrey Garrett, Bibliographer of Western Languages & Literature at Northwestern University Library. Jeffrey's award-winning research proposal is entitled "The End of Monastery Libraries in Bavaria and the Birth of Modern Library Science, 1802-1814." Please join the Committee in extending heartiest congratulations to Jeffrey on his achievement. Formal presentation of the award will take place at the WESS General Membership Meeting in Washington D.C. this summer at the ALA Annual Conference.
