Dr. Irene Vaslef, Librarian of the Byzantine Library at Dumbarton Oaks <http://www.doaks.org> gave a presentation on the history of Byzantine Studies, from its origins in western Europe as a branch of classical studies to important, recent developments both at Dumbarton Oaks and at other centers for Byzantine Studies. She concluded with an extensive list of internet resources for ancient, late antique and Byzantine history, as well as a description of Dumbarton Oaks and the Byzantine Library in particular.
Margaret Schaus, editor of the Medieval Feminist Index <http://www.haverford.edu/library/reference/mschaus/mfi/mfi.html> has agreed to give a presentation at mid-winter in Philadelphia.
