General Information
The Vox of Dartmouth calendar is one of the most comprehensive
Dartmouth events listings anywhere and is a popular feature that readers turn
to for information about what is happening on campus. Vox of Dartmouth
is the faculty and staff newspaper for Dartmouth College. Each issue also
includes news and features.
Vox of Dartmouth is distributed to all faculty and regular staff,
off-campus subscribers (most of whom are local residents), and to numerous
locations on campus and in downtown Hanover. This makes the Vox
calendar particularly useful since it is seen by so many potential audience
members and participants.
Calendar Policy
Vox prints Dartmouth-sponsored events that are either open to the
public or to significant portions of the campus community. Vox
reserves the right to omit unsuitable or incomplete listings.
Deadlines
Vox of Dartmouth is printed 18 times per year—biweekly during
academic terms and monthly during the summer and between terms. Deadlines are
on Fridays at noon, 10 days before the issue date. Click here for
publication dates and deadlines.
Submitting Events
To ensure that your event is listed in the Vox calendar, post it first
to the Dartmouth Web Calendar, a searchable online listing. All events posted
to the Dartmouth Web Calendar by the Vox of Dartmouth deadline are
downloaded for publication in the Vox calendar.
To post an event, go to www.dartmouth.edu/calendar, click
on “Submit an Event,” and follow the posting instructions. You need a
Dartmouth e-mail address to post. Events are reviewed by the calendar ombudsman
before appearing online, so allow extra time before deadline for your event to
be approved.
You can request event sponsor status, which allows you to post directly to
the Web calendar, by contacting the calendar ombudsman.
