On the Job: Agosto advises the 18-member Council on Student Organizations (COSO), a student governing body that oversees Dartmouth's 152 student organizations. She also directly supports those 152 groups, and is working on a program for student-led leadership development.

Connections: "Working with the students is one of the best parts of the job," she says. "They are trying to figure out who they are, what matters. It's amazing how many times a discussion about an event will turn into a discussion about something like their families back home. For many students I end up being not only their organizational advisor, but the person they come to for all kinds of advice."

Homecoming: As an undergraduate, "Collis provided a home away from home for me," says Agosto, who worked there all four years. When she returned as a regular staff member in 2007, "I fell in love with the job and fell in love with Dartmouth again."

Always new: Of her job, Agosto says, "One of the great—and difficult—things is that you never know what is going to happen. Students come in with new ideas all the time. I'm never bored."
