Louisa Gilder '00 |
Louisa Gilder ’00 will deliver a physics and astronomy department public lecture on Thursday, Nov. 20, which coincides with the publication of her first book of the same title. The Age of Entanglement explores the communication between two particles, one of the fundamental concepts of quantum physics, and the work and personalities of great physicists. Gilder says, “The place of entanglement in physics is so strange that I first learned of it in a philosophy class. The human story was equally exciting, encompassing intellectual battles between the greatest names of quantum physics.” The lecture will be held at 7 p.m. in Wilder 104. Call 646-2854 for information.
