"‘Growing Pains': A Reading by Caryl Phillips"
Caryl Phillips-author of nine novels, three works of nonfiction, and pieces for radio, television, film, and the stage-is the summer term Montgomery Fellow. In addition to his public reading, he is teaching a course on Race and Class in Postwar British Fiction in the Department of English. Born in St. Kitts, West Indies, and raised in Leeds, England, Phillips now lives in New York City and is a professor of English at Yale University.
