This film, which premieres on campus, considers the similar plights of grandparents caring for children in Africa orphaned by AIDS and children in the South Bronx, N.Y., orphaned by AIDS, drugs, violence, or prison. A Dartmouth Global Health Initiative program in Tanzania is featured in the film, and Richard Waddell, research assistant professor of medicine at Dartmouth Medical School (DMS), is the executive producer. The screening will be followed by a reception with the filmmakers, representatives from the New York project, and special guest Nils Daulaire, adjunct professor of Community and Family Medicine at DMS and former CEO of the Global Health Council.Questions or comments about this article?
