From its origin as a small gathering at Storrs Pond in 1972, the annual Dartmouth Pow-Wow has grown into a major cultural event attracting more than 2,500 people from across the country. "It is a time for everyone on campus to come together and enjoy good food, participate in song and dance, and most of all, spend time together," says John Around Him '12, who helped plan this year's celebration. Head Woman Dancer Eliza Yellow Bird '09 and Head Man Dancer Jiles Pourier '08 will lead the Grand Entries. (In photo: Daryl Concha '11 at Pow-Wow 2008.)
