"My Senior Thesis, My Career:
Reflections in Honor of Professor Nelson Kasfir"

Nelson Kasfir
Nelson Kasfir

"The senior honors thesis is one of the joys of teaching at Dartmouth because it presents a sustained opportunity to think through difficult questions with very good students," says Professor of Government Nelson Kasfir, who retires this spring after nearly 40 years at Dartmouth. "When it works best, they become your colleagues and teach you as much as you hope to teach them." Kanchan Chandra '90, William P. Mayer '73 (Kasfir's first thesis advisee), Daniel N. Posner '90, and John N. Reed '80 will return to campus to discuss their studies with Kasfir and subsequent careers in law, government, and academia.
