Randall Balmer,
visiting professor of religion from Barnard
College, Columbia University, will
speak on “God in the White House: Faith and the Presidency from John F. Kennedy
to George W. Bush.” Balmer is the author of a dozen books on the subject of
faith in the United States, including God in the White House: How Faith
Shaped the Presidency from John F. Kennedy to George W. Bush and Mine
Eyes Have Seen the Glory: A Journey into the Evangelical Subculture in
America. The lecture will be followed by a reception in Thorton Hall, room
210.
