Lee A. Witters, the Eugene W. Leonard 1921 Professor of Medicine, received the inaugural Linda and Paul Gridley Faculty Fellow award, which was established through the generosity of Linda Bornhuetter Gridley '82, Tuck '86 and Paul Gridley. "This award honors a faculty member who enhances the integration of students' academic and social lives by interacting with students outside the classroom," said Nelson.
Award recipient Tim Andreadis '07, the student body president, was commended for his leadership work with numerous student groups, including the Gay Straight Alliance, the Diversity Peer Program, and the Inter-Community Council. "He is a skilled facilitator and communicator who is able to bring students of different backgrounds and perspectives together," said Linda Kennedy, director of Student Activities.

Michael Dovidio '07, chair of the College's Programming Board, received an award for his role in bringing entertainment to Hanover and for his work as student manager of the Collis Center. Eric Ramsey, associate director of the Collis Center and Student Activities, said that Ramsey had "paved the way for others to be in the spotlight, while he operates it all from the background."
Christina Luccio '07 and Severina Ostrovsky '07 were recognized for their work with PALs, the Peer Academic Links program, which connects seniors and juniors with students who are still deciding on their majors. Luccio and Ostrovsky revamped the program, creating a Web site and growing the number of advisors to 150. "The program stands as a real addition to the current administration-run advising network," said Marcia Kelley, associate dean of the college for administration. Each of the award recipients received a clock made from hardwood harvested from Dartmouth's Second College Grant in northern New Hampshire.
