From October 13 to 15, some 49 classes will return to Hanover for
mini-reunions over Homecoming
Weekend. Dartmouth Night, which officially opens the festivities, will
begin at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, October 13, as cars and bands gather in front of
Hanover High School for the Torchlight Parade. The parade concludes at 8 p.m.
at the steps of Dartmouth Hall for a program featuring President James Wright,
Vice President for Alumni
Relations David Spalding '76, President of the Alumni Council
Martha Beattie '76, and student athletes Whitney Douthett '07 (women's soccer)
and Preston Copley '07 (football).
The bonfire on the Green begins at 8:45 p.m.

New this year is a range of events developed by the Office of Alumni
Relations. Saturday's lineup includes Hanover
Huddle, a football update with Head Coach Buddy Teevens '79 at 9 a.m. in
the Top of the Hop, followed by a ChalkTalk
lecture. Susan
Ackerman '80, Preston H. Kelsey Professor in Religion, will speak at 10
a.m. in the Daniel Webster Room, Hanover Inn on "What's Right and Wrong
with The Da Vinci Code?"
There will be open houses in the new McLaughlin
Cluster and Tuck Mall residence halls, a student research poster session,
tours of Baker Tower, and a campus history walk conducted by the Hill Winds
Society, a new student organization designed to create programs for
alumni-student interaction.
