MacLean Engineering Sciences Center Opening Address

The MacLean Engineering Sciences Center at Thayer School of Engineering will officially open with a keynote address, “Anatomy of a Home Run: The GlycoFi Story,” by Tillman Gerngross and Charles Hutchison, the cofounders of GlycoFi, Inc. Hutchison is John H. Krehbiel Sr. Professor of Emerging Technologies, emeritus. Gerngross is an associate professor of engineering. The two established GlycoFi in 2000. The firm's proprietary protein expression technology allows it to optimize the exact sugar structure of therapeutic proteins, leading to dramatic improvements in the therapeutic profiles of pharmaceuticals.
