Fourth Annual Support Staff Conference to be Held September 7

The Fourth Annual Support Staff Conference for all non-exempt Dartmouth employees, including union and service employees, will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, in Alumni Hall. This year's conference, Awareness and Enrichment: Our Collective Strengths, will focus on developing good business communication skills, managing emotions, and thriving under pressure.

Traci Nordberg, chief human resources officer, will deliver the conference welcome. The keynote speaker, Rex Morey '99, assistant director of young alumni and student programs, will address the strengths that support staff bring to the College community. A morning workshop, led by David Watts, human resource manager at Tele Atlas North America in Lebanon, N.H., will explore workplace communications. The afternoon workshop, Managing Emotions and Thriving Under Pressure, will feature Dave Amey, a dynamic SkillPath™ seminars trainer.

This free conference is designed by support staff, for support staff. Planning committee members are Susan AuBuchon, Allyn Barraby, Jamie Dalton, Cindy Kendall, Lisa Ladd, Susan Milord, and Connie Prior. Conference sponsors include divisions and departments from across the College.
