A group of cyclists ride through the morning fog in the 25th
Annual Prouty Bike Ride & Challenge Walk, held on July 8. This year's
event was more successful than ever, raising a record $1.2 million dollars for
cancer research and patient services at Norris Cotton Cancer Center (NCCC)
at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. More
than 2,700 participants from 28 states joined in the event, supported by 350
volunteers. Also in July, NCCC was listed among the top 50 hospitals for cancer
care for the fifth straight year by U.S. News & World Report. NCCC
was the only cancer care facility in northern New England to be named to the
list.
