The Eleanor Frost & Ruth and Loring Dodd Playwrighting Festival
The winning undergraduate plays from two playwrighting contests—the Ruth and
Loring Dodd Drama Prize and the Eleanor Frost Playwrighting Contest—comprise
the festival. Danny Rangel '09 won the Dodd Drama Prize for Federale,
his play about class in contemporary Mexico. The work is being fully produced
by the Department of Theater and directed by Jaime Horton, associate professor
of theater. The plays by Frost contest winners will be produced as bench
readings directed by Peter Hackett '75, professor and chair of theater. This
year's winners are The Oologist's Egg and Neelesh and the
Clown, both by Latif Nasser '08, and Island Nation by Kimberly
Sheu '07. All shows will be in Bentley Theater. Call 646-2422 to order
