Dartmouth administrative employees enjoyed a reception at the Top of the Hop
during Administrative Professionals Day on April 25. Held annually, the event
offers programming about work-related issues and is an opportunity for
administrators across the campus to gather and be recognized for the key roles
they play in the life of the College.

This year, attendees heard presentations by Carl Pratt, general manager of
the Hanover Inn, and Cristina Lind, a consultant who works with individuals to
help them create more effective and workspaces and systems. "Cristina's
message was very useful—particularly in our fast-paced office and in my
job," says Bonnie Holbrook of career services. "I'm constantly
changing my focus and my tasks and her advice was very helpful." Annette
Hamilton, who also works in career services, adds, "It was great to be
recognized in this way."
Some 125 employees attended the event, which was coordinated by the Office of Human Resources and the Dartmouth Staff
Partnership, chaired by Marilyn Ewing, administrative assistant in the
upperclass dean's office. "This was a wonderful opportunity to recognize
the critical work that support staff do every day," says Traci Nordberg,
chief human resources officer.
