The Dickey
Center for International Relations' War & Peace Studies program is
sponsoring "Military Service...For God, For Country, For One's Self?:
Dartmouth Military Veterans Discuss the Nature and Importance of Military
Service," a roundtable discussion on the merits and demerits of military
service. Panelists include:
- Gene Lyons, Orvil Dryfoos Professor of Public Affairs and professor of
government, emeritus
- Allan Stam, Daniel Webster Professor of Government
- Peter Bleyler '61
- Nathaniel Fick '99
- Melissa Hammerle '03
- Wesley Lippman '03
All panelists have served or are currently serving in the U.S. military. The
discussion will be held Monday, May 7, at 4:30 p.m. in Filene Auditorium, Moore
