On Saturday, March 3 the Dartmouth
Skiway held its 50th Anniversary Celebration. The event was rescheduled
from Dec. 29, and Mother Nature finally cooperated with plenty of snow from
recent storms. Events included family ski races, a treasure hunt, a "rail
jam," a boardercross competition, and a "Dress Your Era" costume
contest. A portion of the day's lift ticket sales and entry fees for the
boardercross competition went to benefit local charities including The Haven,
Headrest, WISE, and the Visiting Nurses Associations of Vermont and New
Hampshire.
