President James Wright addresses an audience gathered to hear a case argued in front of the Navajo Supreme Court at the Tuck School of Business on Feb. 12. "We are honored by your presence, and we are richer for your insights and judgments," said Wright to Associate Justice Lorene Ferguson, Chief Justice Herb Yazzie, and Associate Justice Irene Black (seated, left to right). The justices heard arguments concerning the authority of the Navajo over alleged negligent actions that took place in Colorado that caused harmful effects on the reservation. Organizers of the event included N. Bruce Duthu, adjunct professor of Native American studies, and Collin Calloway, professor of history and Samson Occom Professor of Native American Studies.
