President Seeks Comments on Revised Mission Statement

In a letter sent this week to everyone in the Dartmouth community, President James Wright asked for comments on a revision of the College's mission statement. The result of conversations he began last summer, in which students, faculty, and staff were asked to consider "what distinguishes Dartmouth at its best," the statement consists of the revised mission, a set of core values, and a concise summary of Dartmouth's legacy. Wright will present the document to the Board of Trustees for approval at the March meeting.

The text of the President's letter and the revised mission document, along with instructions for contributing comments, can be found on the President's Web site.

Comments may also be sent in writing to the Office of the President at 207 Parkhurst Hall, HB 6001.
