Tuck school offers free course to campus community

The Tuck School of Business, the Dartmouth Medical School and the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network will again offer the evening mini course, "Introduction to Entrepreneurship," to members of the Dartmouth community. The course provides basic education in commercialization of technology, entrepreneurship and starting new business ventures.  It will be offered free of charge at the Tuck school on Thursday evenings, 4:45 to 6:45 p.m., from Jan. 5 through March 2, 2006.

Tuck and Thayer students in the Masters of Engineering Management program will be eligible to earn credit for the course. The course is also open to anyone eligible for a dartmouth.edu, hitchcock.org or dartmouth.alum.org e-mail address.

Students will be exposed to the startup process in detail through lectures, visiting speakers, workshop sessions and readings. Participants will also develop an executive summary of a business idea and a business proposal that they will present to a panel of potential investors at the conclusion of the course.

Gregg Fairbrothers '75, Adjunct Professor of Business Administration, is organizer of the class. Class size may be limited. For more information, contact:
