Deadline extended for diversity reading groups

There's still time to register for the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity's (IDE) Diversity Reading and Film Groups. The original Oct. 28 deadline has been extended to Friday, Nov. 11. This year's selections are focused on contemporary issues of religion and politics.

President James Wright expressed his support for the program in a letter issued on Oct. 21. "I encourage you to consider the opportunity this fall," he wrote. "The selected works of fiction, non-fiction, and film encourage a focus on issues that deeply affect life, learning, and relationships nationally, internationally, and here, on our campus."

Discussion and reading groups begin in December. Film groups begin in February. Contact Rita Brown at 646-9196 to request a registration form.
