"This is only the second time I have seen a bull moose in town," said Professor of English Tom Luxon of the bull moose he photographed on East Wheelock Street, September 24. "As the weather changes and the amount of food declines, animals may be exploring in the quest to expand their home range," said Department of Biological Sciences Croasdale Fellow David Mbora. Mid-September to late October is also mating season for moose, which Mbora said, "... may land them in odd places."
