Robot camp

Robot camp

Claire Weaver of Hanover, left, and Callie Cooper of Hartland, right, test the robot they built and programmed during the Girls Only Camp of Dartmouth's 2005 Summer Robotics Program for the Upper Valley Youth, held this July. The girls' camp participants designed their robots as archaeological tools for exploring a pyramid as part of the camp's "Robots and Ancient Egypt" theme. Cooper and Weaver designed their robot to navigate this chamber of the pyramid using a light sensor to follow a black line. This year's program was sponsored by the Department of Computer Science and the Provost's Office.
