Time for the Prouty

Annual summer bike and hike raises funds for cancer research

Join more than 1,000 participants and volunteers at the 24th annual Prouty Bike Ride & Fitness Walk for Cancer Research on Sat., July 9. Bikers ride a 25, 50 or 100 mile route, each with beautiful views of the Connecticut River Valley. Walkers can choose between a 5 or 10K neighborhood walk and a new trail walk - or they are invited to put the walks together for an even greater physical challenge.

The Norris Cotton Cancer Center is also proud to announce the Dartmouth-Prouty Cup, an award given to the Dartmouth Team participating in the Prouty that raises the most money for cancer research. To qualify, the team must register to vie for the Dartmouth Cup in advance, the team captain must be employed by Dartmouth or Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) and at least five members or 50 percent of the team (whichever is greater) must be Dartmouth or DHMC employees.

Families, individuals and teams all come together on this fun-filled day to raise money for cancer research. Food, entertainment, children's activities, prizes and more will be offered. Register for the event and the Dartmouth-Prouty Cup by contacting Michelle Manning at 800-226-8744 or michelle.manning@dartmouth.edu. For more information, visit www.theprouty.org.
