"The Aim Was Song"
Performance

William Cook, Israel Evans Professor of Oratory and Belles Lettres and professor of English and African American studies, and James Tatum, Aaron Lawrence Professor of Classics, present the music and poetry of Scott Joplin, Paul Laurence Dunbar, and others. With Tatum on the piano and Cook reciting, "The Aim Was Song," continues the tradition of reading poetry to music.
