On April 26, nearly 200 Dartmouth staff members attended a reception in celebration of national Administrative Professionals Day. Held in the Hanover Inn's Wheelock Room, the event featured a welcome by Traci Nordberg, chief human resources officer, and a special visit by President James Wright, who spoke informally with attendees.

Members of the Dartmouth Staff Partnership, a volunteer staff organization, were also present to assist and offer information about the group's initiatives. Refreshments were provided, and the afternoon concluded with a series of prize drawings.
Says Nordberg, "This successful celebration of the contributions of our administrative staff reflects our commitment to developing more programs and events across the College. National recognition days give us a natural opportunity for staff to come together. The response shows that there is a strong interest in recognition activities, and we will build on it in the future."
Formerly known as Secretaries Day, Administrative Professionals Day has been recognizing the work of administrative staff since 1952.
